This is a general discussion page for the wiki. To talk about a specific page, please use that page's talk page.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

==About Plural Links==
Okay, I'm noticing a LOT of people doing this. When making a page link PLURAL, as in <nowiki>[[High Priest]]s</nowiki> do NOT put the "S" INSIDE the <nowiki>[[Link]], like [[High Priest</nowiki>'''s''']] this. Instead, add the "S" to the OUTSIDE of the link, like <nowiki>[[High Priest]]</nowiki>'''s''' this. It's creating a lot of "wanted pages" and it's really time consuming to go through all of them and fix em. Thanks. --[[User:Resplendent|Resplendent]] 22:51, 17 September 2007 (MDT)

:Another thing that is putting a very large number of pages on [[Special:WantedPages]] is articles are being copied and pasted, and when people see a link to ''Berserk Potions'' (or any item), and they simply change it to ''<nowiki>[[Berserk Potions]]</nowiki>''. Double check links before doing this, many of them are originally [[Template:Item]] and actually are supposed to link to [http://rode.doddlercon.com/ R.O.D.E.]. If people dont want to look up ID numbers, thats perfectly fine, leave it as ''Berserk Potions'', likely someone else will eventually change it --[[User:Biochemistness-76|Biochemistness-76]] 00:10, 18 September 2007 (MDT)

== Gif's vs Png's ==

At this point, we already have almost all the skill icons and a large number of item icons uploaded in .png format. There was some brief [[Talk:Posting_Rules|discussion]] on this topic, but the only contributions were regarding jpg vs png since screenshots are originally jpeg. If peoeple desire to use a different format across the wiki, there should probably be some further discussion on the topic rather than people just blindly changing templates back and forth.

(also, [[Template:Skill]] and [[Template:Skill List]] are serving the same function, one should be decided on and the other should be disposed of.)

--[[User:Biochemistness-76|Biochemistness-76]] 18:22, 18 September 2007 (MDT)
:There was some discussion about this on IRC a few minutes ago. I can post the log if interested, but consensus seemed to be that PNG was here to stay, at least for the things that used to be GIFs. [[User:Hadas|Hadas]] 18:32, 18 September 2007 (MDT)

:[[Template:Skill]] seems to be the more frequently used template; [[Template:Skill List]] is probably only used because it appears in the Templates Category, while [[Template:Skill]] doesn't (should be fixed if it's the one kept) --[[User:Reiko|Reiko]] 04:00, 24 September 2007 (MDT)

[[Template:Skill List|Skill List]] was the one used on RI iirc. --[[User:Deviattor|Deviattor]] 10:08, 24 September 2007 (MDT)

== Policy Development ==
I would like to see some actual coherent, consensus-supported policies come into existence here.

A potential skeleton for these could be:
*Editing Policy
**[[iRO Wiki:Civility]] - Policies regarding dealing with other editors, such as assuming good faith, civility, etc.
**[[iRO Wiki:Deletion]] - Policy regarding deletion of articles and other media on the wiki.
**[[iRO Wiki:Protection]] - Policy regarding the protection and semi-protection of articles.
**[[iRO Wiki:Moderator]] - Policy regarding the provision and revocation of sysop status as well as sysop-specific policies (e.g. policies regarding wheel warring)
**[[iRO Wiki:Vandalism]] - Coherent policy against vandalism (with a definition of what vandalism is)
*Content Policy
**[[iRO Wiki:Verifiability]] - Policy that verifiable information is preferable to non-verifiable information.
**[[iRO Wiki:Use iRO]] - Policy that information from private servers is strictly prohibited and information from legal servers other than iRO (e.g. kRO) is less important (and less useful) than information from iRO.
*Style Policy
**[[iRO Wiki:Manual of Style]] - Create a coherent theme that should be shared by all wiki articles. Should include a section on naming conventions as well.

[[User:Hadas|Hadas]] 05:44, 19 September 2007 (MDT)
:Deletion policy proposal has been made. [[User:Hadas|Hadas]] 21:39, 10 October 2007 (MDT)

:These are all currently in the main namespace, were they intended to be in the project namespace? I can see some value to having them (at this point) out of the project namespace, as that will allow people without sysop to edit/contribute to them. Though ultimately they should be in the project namespace.
:Shouldn't we also have something along the lines of a Policy policy, so that we can lay out the formal approach to proposing, adjusting, and ratifying new policy
:--[[User:Biochemistness-76|Biochemistness-76]] 14:53, 15 October 2007 (MDT)
== Maintenance Script ==

The maintenance script apparently did not preserve any of the page information associated with any of the images. So it seems all the images are without categories, and any images that may have previously had descriptions no longer do. Can this be solved by some simple tweaking of the script, or will categories & descriptions need to be manually added every time the script runs? --[[User:Biochemistness-76|Biochemistness-76]] 15:11, 26 September 2007 (MDT)
:The maintenance script was a one time deal. We totally reinstalled the wiki and transferred everything over via importing and that script. It won't happen again, but I think we'll probably have to manually redo everything that is missing, sorry. Beats having a broken wiki though! --[[User:Resplendent|Resplendent]] 16:11, 26 September 2007 (MDT)
== Policies and Guidelines ==

== Kafra Shop and VAS Pages ==
It'd be nice if there was page describing, in general, how the KS functions, its benefits, and payment methods for iRO in particular. Since this isn't a wiki for any other version, I wouldn't worry about how others do it, especially since it would probably only confuse people. We might also want to do pages for the Value Added Services, since there's soon to be a Stat Reset along with the original two. --[[User:Resplendent|Resplendent]] 00:00, 8 November 2007 (MST)
==Magmas==
''7x-9x''

{{map|id=mag_dun01 Nogg Road 1}} (colloquially called '''Magmas''') is the staple leveling location for any kind of wizard. The general strategy involves having a priest run to mob monsters, which the wizard will follow and destroy the mob with [[Storm Gust]]. While in principle the wizard should never get hit and the priest should be the only one tanking attacks, in practice monsters may sometimes switch targets, so it is a good practice to wear appropriate defensive gear as well as use [[Energy Coat]] if one's SP allows for it.

====Important Gear====
*'''Weapon:''' Dexterous {{item|id=1618 Suvivor's Rod (Dex)}} ({{item|id=4004 Drops Card}}) or Quadruple Undine Rod (Laurell Weinder Card)
*'''Shield:''' Brutal {{item|id=2102 Guard}} ({{item|id=4066 Orc Warrior Card}})
*'''Garment:''' Immune {{item|id=2504 Muffler}} ({{item|id=4133 Raydric Card}}) or {{item|id=2509 Survivor's Manteau}}
*'''Accessory:''' {{item|id=2607 Clip Under a Cast}} ({{item|id=4077 Phen Card}}) or Spell Flow {{item|id=2607 Clip}} ({{item|id=4327 Bloody Butterfly Card}})

====Important Skills====
*[[Storm Gust]]
*[[Energy Coat]]

====Pros====

====Cons====

====Monsters====
*{{monster|id=1367 Blazer}}: Slow. Have a ranged attack. Hurt a bit. Kill them.
*{{monster|id=1383 Explosion}}: Moderate speed. If you're wearing a brutal guard they don't hurt that much. Kill them.
*{{monster|id=1381 Grizzly}}: Their [[Spear Stab]] hurts. If you get stunned, let your [[Priest]] know as soon as possible. Kill them quickly.
*{{monster|id=1072 Kaho}}: More of an annoyance than anything else, but the EXP from them isn't terrible either. Kill them.
*{{monster|id=1366 Lava Golem}}: Their attacks hurt more than anything else here and if they're attacking you rather than the [[Priest]], you might die if you don't have the HP to tank a few hits from them. Killing them is your first priority.

====Leeching====
Nearly impossible.

====Courtesies====
*Do not attack another party's mob. If it happens by accident (and yes, it happens to everyone sometimes), make sure to apologize.
*Do inform your [[Priest]] if you want to loot. Most do not expect you to do so and will immediately run to collect the next mob. This can be a problem if you arrive at the next mob too late to save the priest's failing HP when he or she cannot out-[[Heal]] a large mob (which happens often, especially if the Priest does not have the benefit of [[Assumptio]]).

====Techniques====
*If your [[Priest]] has more than one {{monster|id=1366 Lava Golem}} in a mob, use [[Storm Gust]] level 1 in order to freeze the mob and give your [[Priest]] a few precious seconds to breathe.
*Switching between a Dex-increasing accessory and your Phen or Bloody Butterfly-carded Clip is a good practice. Start casting with the Dex-increasing accessory equipped, then immediately switch to the Clip to prevent your casting from being interrupted. This decreases your cast time by a bit and can be a life-saver if the mob your [[Priest]] made is too big.

====Important Gear====
*'''Weapon:''' Dexterous {{item|id=1618 Suvivor's Rod (Dex)}} ({{item|id=4004 Drops Card}}) or Quadruple Undine Rod (Laurell Weinder Card)
*'''Shield:''' Brutal {{item|id=2102 Guard}} ({{item|id=4066 Orc Warrior Card}})
*'''Garment:''' Immune {{item|id=2504 Muffler}} ({{item|id=4133 Raydric Card}}) or {{item|id=2509 Survivor's Manteau}}
*'''Accessory:''' {{item|id=2607 Clip Under a Cast}} ({{item|id=4077 Phen Card}}) or Spell Flow {{item|id=2607 Clip}} ({{item|id=4327 Bloody Butterfly Card}})

====Important Skills====
*[[Storm Gust]]
*[[Energy Coat]]

====Pros====

====Cons====

====Monsters====

====Leeching====
Nearly impossible.

====Courtesies====

====Techniques====
*If your [[Priest]] has more than one {{monster|id=1366 Lava Golem}} in a mob, use [[Storm Gust]] level 1 in order to freeze the mob and give your [[Priest]] a few precious seconds to breathe.
*Practice switching between a Dex-in

==Glast Heim Chivalry 2==
''6x-9x; Grand Cross Crusader/Paladin''

{{map |id=gl_knt02 Glast Heim Chivalry 2}} (short: '''Chiv''') is known all around Rune-Midgard as one of the wealthiest places to level, and the EXP is decent for mid-range characters, too. Leveling typically involves mobbing a small handful of Raydrics and Khalitzburgs, but high level characters (and low-level characters with priests) will also want to stop for the rarer monsters: Abysmal Knights, Bloody Knights, Mysteltainns, and Alice. Almost everything in Chiv drops {{item |id=985 Elunium}} at a high rate, which is a fantastic way to build up a steady income. The best part about Chiv, though, is that almost all the rares are worth a bundle: Raydric Card, Khalitzburg Card, Alice Card, Abysmal Knight Card, and Bloody Knight Card are all very, very valuable, and most of the monsters in Chiv drop slotted gears, ripe for upgrading with all the Elunium you are getting along the way. Chiv is a great way to learn the basics of mobbing for Grand Cross: it's not quite as simple as it looks, since you do not want your monsters to end up stacked on the same cell.

====Important Gear====
*Hell Shield ({{item |id=4136 Khalitzburg Card}}) or Cranial Shield [for Raydrics] ({{item |id=4058 Thara Frog Card}})
*Teleport Accessory ({{item |id=4040 Creamy Card}})

====Pros====
*Moderately easy
*Not too mobby
*Amazing loot

====Cons====
*May require a priest at low levels
*Eats SP fast when soloing

====Monsters====
*{{monster |id=1163 Raydric}}: Fast, high damage, high ASPD, low DEF/HP. Main target.
*{{monster |id=1132 Khalitzburg}}: Slow, high damage, moderate ASPD, low DEF. Good EXP, but annoying to mob.
*{{monster |id=1276 Raydric Archer}}: Annoying. Avoid them.
*{{monster |id=1275 Alice}}: One on the map. Kill her: she drops nice rares.
*{{monster |id=1268 Bloody Knight}}: Very dangerous for low and midrange characters, even with a priest. Good rares.
*{{monster |id=1219 Abysmal Knight}}: Watch out for Brandish. Valuable card, good drops.
*{{monster |id=1203 Mysteltainn}}: Not too difficult, but be careful. Drops {{item |id=7297 Biotite}} frequently.

====Leeching====
There are a few places to hide.

====Courtesies====
*Don't loot other parties' drops. Duh.
*Don't intercept people fighting Abysmal Knights or Bloody Knights: they switch very easily. Stay far back and watch.

====Techniques====
*Khalitzburgs and Abysmal Knights move slowly. Take advantage of the fact that if monsters are still walking when they get hit by Grand Cross, they take up to four hits from Grand Cross, instead of three. Walk away from your target and cast Grand Cross before they catch up to you, timing it so they'll still be walking when GC hits them.
*Raydrics don't switch easily once they have locked on to someone. It's much easier to get them to switch while they are chasing their target than while they are attacking their target, so make sure your priest knows to keep moving when a Raydric locks on to them so that you can [[Provoke]] it off of them. If your priest gets hitlocked, try using [[Bash]] to stun the Raydrics, or [[Magnum Break]] to push them away, sometimes redirecting them at you (or, of course, just try to kill them all with GC). Your priest might also want to hotkey [[Status Recovery]]: a quick and easy way to get monsters off their backs.
*Khalitzburgs switch easily, and you can't Provoke [[Undead]] monsters. Use [[Shield Boomerang]] or a level 1 [[Heal]] bomb if you want them to stay on you.
*Bloody Knights and Mysteltainns attack from 3 cells away, so make sure you are lined up horizontally or vertically with them before blowing SP on Grand Cross: your GC will miss altogether if the Bloody Knight is positioned diagonally.
*Bloody Knights push you back, occasionally, so try to stand with your back against a wall. If your priest sprite lags during the push and is unable to heal you, you are in trouble.
*Abysmal Knights use [[Brandish Spear]], and it can be very painful, even for midrange and high-level characters. [[Pneuma]] blocks Brandish, but even still, make sure your priest stays well out of range.

==Dark Frames==
''5x-8x''

{{map |id=gl_in01 Glast Heim Towers}} (aka. '''GH Inside''' or '''Frames''') is fantastic job EXP for low-level Crusaders and Paladins trying to earn their leveling skills. Leveling takes place in one of four very small rooms (usually the room in the southeast corner of the map) and revolves around Dark Frame monsters that instantly respawn somewhere nearby in the room as soon as they're killed. Aside from Dark Frames, there are also Marionettes, Sageworms, and Ridewords that instantly respawn, but it is very common for a Rogue with the Snatch skill to snatch everything except for the Dark Frames to one of the other three rooms. As long as nobody goes to the other rooms and kills the snatched monsters, they will not respawn in the room from which they were taken, leaving nothing but Job-EXP-rich Dark Frames, fresh for the killing. Depending on your character's build and level, Frames can either be soloed or done with a tank. Leveling is most efficient when you are able keep circling around the room, stopping to kill a Dark Frame with one or two quick moves. Most frequently, Crusaders will either use [[Grand Cross]] or [[Bash]] (with the proper weapon and [[Lex Aeterna]]), while battle Paladins often use [[Rapid Smiting]] or [[Martyr's Reckoning]].

====Important Gear====
*Hell Shield ({{item |id=4136 Khalitzburg Card}})
*Teleport Accessory ({{item |id=4040 Creamy Card}})

====Pros====
*Great job EXP
*Easy enough for mid-level characters with appropriate gears to solo
*Nonstop leveling, no need to mob or regen frequently

====Cons====
*Difficult if the room has not been "cleaned up" by a [[Snatch]] Rogue
*Occasionally crowded, KSing can be frequent if there are inconsiderate archer classes present

====Monsters====
*{{monster |id=1260 Dark Frame}}: Great job EXP, moderate base EXP, high damage, high ASPD, low DEF, moderate MDEF. Primary target.
*{{monster |id=1195 Rideword}}: Very painful, hard to avoid or outrun. Snatch as soon as possible.
*{{monster |id=1143 Marionette}}: Slow moving, low damage, but annoying and not worth the EXP. Snatch.
*{{monster |id=1281 Sageworm}}: Non-aggressive. Low EXP, low damage. Snatch if they bother you.

====Leeching====
Plenty of great spots.

====Courtesies====
*Mobbing isn't the most efficient way to level, here. Occasionally, multiple Frames with instant-spawn on you: if you're using Grand Cross, that's not a bad thing. Just kill them off and move on.
*Try to avoid leveling here until you're able to kill Dark Frames quickly. There are only three Frames in most of the rooms, and if you can't kill one quickly, you're cutting everyone else's leveling down by a third.
*Do not kill Ridewords, Marionettes, or Sageworms in the other rooms, or they will respawn in the "cleaned up" room.

====Techniques====
*If the room is crowded, try to cooperate with the other parties: each party sticking to one portion of the room instead of running in circles around each other.
*Because the rooms are so small, Frames will frequently respawn very close to you: sometimes so close that your priest will not have time to intercept them. Fortunately, Dark Frames switch very easily. Stay very close to your priest, and if a Frame spawns on you, drag it onto your priest as quickly as you can. Remember not to Provoke until the Frame is attacking your priest, or else it will switch to you and will not switch back.
*If your Priest gets [[Stone|Stone Cursed]], try dragging a Frame on top of them to break the curse without waiting. It's important to always keep moving, here.
*Conserve your SP. Wait for [[Lex Aeterna]].

==Zenorcs==
''4x-6x''

Orc Dungeon Lv.2 (aka. '''OD2''', '''Zenorcs''' or '''Zens''') has lots of weak monsters that make mobbing a piece of cake for Grand Cross Crusaders and Paladins. Your two primary targets are Orc Skeletons and Zenorcs, but there are also Drainliars, Steel Chonchons, and the occasional Orc Archer. Orc Skeletons are aggressive, while Zenorcs are looters, so the common technique is to gather a mob of Orc Skeletons, then drag it into an area where there are many Zenorcs. After killing the Orc Skeletons, the Zenorcs will rush in to gather the loot spread out around you, leaving them vulnerable to your next GC.

====Important Gear====
*Cranial Shield ({{item |id=4058 Thara Frog Card}})
*Teleport Accessory ({{item |id=4040 Creamy Card}})

====Pros====
*Very easy to get a good mob started
*Easy enough for low-level characters with appropriate gears to solo
*No dangerous surprises to watch out for
*Easy to get to

====Cons====
*May be crowded (popular with alchemists for leveling homunculi), and certain classes are irritated by the mobbing. It is likely more crowded on Chaos and Loki servers than it is on Iris or Sakray.

====Monsters====
*{{monster |id=1152 Orc Skeleton}}: Moderately fast moving, aggressive, mediocre damage and ASPD. Fun to mob.
*{{monster |id=1177 Zenorc}}: Very fast moving speed, mediocre damage, looters. Lower levels might want to avoid these because of their higher HP and ASPD.
*{{monster |id=1111 Drainliar}}: Slow moving. Moderate EXP if you get a handful in your mob, or you can just leave them behind.
*{{monster |id=1189 Orc Archer}}: Annoying while trying to mob, but very weak and slow. Not very many on the map, so don't worry too much about them.
*{{monster |id=1042 Steel Chonchon}}: Looters, non-aggressive, very weak.

====Leeching====
Not very easily, but you might be able to find a nook or cranny.

====Courtesies====
*Don't drag your mob over another player. Likewise, don't try to intercept someone who's mobbing in order to switch their mob onto you.
*Although Zenorcs are not aggressive, it is common courtesy to treat Zenorcs swarming around someone as part of their mob. Killing something nearby or dropping items to draw the Zenorcs to you is not generally appreciated.
*If your mob gets out of hand, make sure you're not about to drop them on a nearby player before teleporting.
*Alchemists will generally allow you to take over if their homunculus' mob is getting big and they're taking a long time to kill it all, but '''ask first''', and remember that giving up a mob is a courtesy and not an obligation.

====Techniques====
*Using a {{item |id=1234 Moonlight Dagger}} in conjunction with [[Shield Reflect]] (or a High Orc Shield) is a very effective way to stretch out your SP, here.
*Even with a Moonlight Dagger equipped, most of these monsters will die to a very low level Grand Cross. Moonlight Dagger works with GC, so if you use a low enough level, you might actually end up earning more SP than it costs to cast.
*Teleporting around until you find a good mob may be faster than trying to make one.
*If you’re worried about Zenorcs and Steel Chonchons eating up valuable loot, drop a jellopy on the ground before you kill the Orc Skeletons, that way the looting monsters rush into place first.
*Orc Skeletons switch easily, and they can’t be Provoked. Fortunately, Shield Boomerang works just fine, so if the dungeon is crowded, whack everything you’re mobbing with a Shield Boomerang so it won’t switch if someone intercepts you.

==Niflheim==
''6x-8x''

The {{map |id=nif_fild02 Valley of Gyoll}} is a paradise for Grand Cross Crusaders and Paladins. Everything here is either [[Undead]] or [[Shadow]] element, and very weak to Grand Cross. It’s easy to get a good mob started, and everything gives good Base EXP, and moderately nice Job EXP. If you take the time to gather all the loot, you can make a good deal of money [[Overcharge|Overcharging]] it to NPCs, and there are also a couple of decent rares to be found. Due to the awkward layout of the map, the peculiar attack speeds and walking speeds of monsters here, and the fact that many monsters here can attack from 2-3 cells away, Niflheim requires a lot of mobbing talent to be best handled. [[Hunter]]s and crit [[Assassin]]s seem to like Niflheim too, and they can get angry if you drag your mob on them, so be very careful to [[Provoke]] everything in your mob so it won’t switch, and try to avoid crossing paths with them if you can. Many people stay in Niflheim all the way to 99, so it’s best to learn the ropes and find a couple of consistent leveling partners.

====Important Gear:====
*Hell Shield ({{item |id=4136 Khalitzburg Card}})
*Teleport Accessory ({{item |id=4040 Creamy Card}})

====Pros====
*Great EXP
*Fun to mob, once you’ve got the hang of it
*Decent loot
*Everything dies to GC pretty easily: there are no annoying monsters on this map
*Because Niflheim spawns are all set to regular timers and spawn zones, it is usually predictable

====Cons====
*You’ll need a priest or plenty of pots
*Can get crowded, at times
*It’s a pain to get here, since you can’t save or warp anywhere nearby

====Monsters====
*{{monster |id=1505 Loli Ruri}}: Fast moving and ASPD, very high damage, attacks from 3 cells away. Primary source of EXP.
*{{monster |id=1503 Gibbet}}: Easy to mob, low damage, dies quick.
*{{monster |id=1510 Heirozoist}}: Low EXP, but easy to mob and low damage.
*{{monster |id=1507 Bloody Murderer}}: High MDEF. Still dies pretty quickly (remember to Provoke for the extra damage).
*{{monster |id=1509 Lude}}: Weak. A mob of them spawns outside the entrance to town. Fun to destroy.
*{{monster |id=1504 Dullahan}}: Great job EXP, dies quickly, easy to mob.

====Leeching====
Not here.

====Courtesies====
*Provoke everything in your mob. Mob switching is annoying and dangerous.
*Do not intercept other mobbers, and do not drag your mob over other parties.
*If the mob gets out of hand, warn anyone nearby before you teleport.
*If you want to loot, make sure it is okay with your party. There is a lot of loot to stop for, and most people would rather keep going.

====Techniques====
*Because monsters here walk at varying speeds, it is important to zig-zag back and forth while mobbing, to keep things a uniform distance from you. This can be very difficult in narrow passages, such as the bridge across the middle.
*You can't Provoke Dullahans. Use [[Shield Boomerang]] or a level 1 [[Heal]] bomb.
*The topmost part of the right side of the map has a very large mob that spawns on a regular timer. Hitting that area regularly is a good way to get some very large "free" mobs.
*Many people prefer not to waste time walking across the bridge. Ask your party if they’d prefer to teleport to the other side once you’re finished on one side of the map.
*Niflheim eats SP very quickly. Be considerate to your party and don’t mob unless you have enough SP to kill it all. Don not forget that Grand Cross blinds [[Demon]] monsters: you can cast a low-level GC to blind the mob, then walk away to sit down and regen for a few moments while they can't see you.
*After killing everything in your mob except for Bloody Murderers, it is often a good idea to take them and start a new mob with them, instead of wasting SP finishing them off. Stretching Murderers out over two or three mobs saves SP, and since they’re not Demon type, they will not go blind when you GC them.
*Bloody Murderers and Loli Ruris have a nasty tendency to stack on the same cells as one another, lowering the number of times each Grand Cross hits each of them. Try to zig-zag as you mob and run the mob around in circles before jumping in the middle to cast Grand Cross. This will help loosen up the mob and keep monsters on different cells as they scramble around to catch up with you.
*Loli Ruris, Blood Murderers, and Dullahans attack from 3 cells away, so make sure you’re lined up horizontally or vertically with them before blowing SP on Grand Cross: your GC will miss altogether if the monster is positioned diagonally. If you’re missing something in your mob, take a few steps up, down, left, or right, and Provoke the monster again to draw it closer.

==Geffen Guild Dungeon==
''8x-9x''

Having access to Geffen Guild Dungeon is a huge privilege for Grand Cross Crusaders, as it is the epitome of mob leveling. GD requires either a Full Support priest to support you while you mob and then kill with [[Grand Cross]], or a [[Magnus Exorcismus]] priest to destroy the mobs you build. Both are very acceptable means of leveling, but Grand Cross will eat through your SP very quickly, so finding an ME priest may be the better option for those who don't wish to regen.

====Important Gear====
*Evil Armor ({{item |id=4119 Bathory Card}})
*Hell Shield ({{item |id=4136 Khalitzburg Card}})
*Teleport Accessory ({{item |id=4040 Creamy Card}})
*{{item |id=601 Fly Wings}}

====Pros====
*Very good base EXP
*Everything dies to Grand Cross or Magnus Exorcismus
*Nonstop killing and mobbing

====Cons====
*Job EXP does not match up to Base EXP
*Loot is only valuable if you stop to pick it all up, and there is a lot of it.

====Monsters====
*{{monster |id=1298 Zombie Master}}: Weakest monster in the dungeon, likes to Poison you and Brandish you away from where your priest is casting ME. Get against a wall before casting if you have a lot of these in your mob.
*{{monster |id=1292 Mini Demon}}: Hardest monster to kill, and fairly painful, if you get too many of them in the mob.
*{{monster |id=1291 Wraith Dead}}: Great, easy EXP.
*{{monster |id=1272 Dark Lord}}: MvP, avoid.

====Leeching====
Not done frequently, but there are a couple good hiding places.

====Courtesies====
*The Guild Dungeon is a PvP area, so in addition to managing your mob and not interrupting other parties, make sure to watch carefully for other players casting [[AoE]] spells that could hurt or kill you. Understand when a mistake is a mistake, and don't try to exact revenge for an accident. Likewise, be careful to make sure the area is clear before casting Grand Cross, if that's how you are leveling.

====Techniques====
*Remember: Guild Dungeons are PvP areas. If you have enemies or if your guild has caused trouble with another guild recently, you might be better off to avoid the risk of getting killed by an angry (or bored) member of another guild.
*Bring Fly Wings, even if you have a Teleport accessory. If you're in the middle of a cast delay when the Dark Lord or an angry player shows up, you're going to want to be out of there as fast as possible.
*The [[NPC DARKTHUNDER|dark-element Jupitel Thunder]] that Mini Demons use can be entirely stopped by wearing Bathory-carded armor. Use this if you don't want to have to get against a wall to avoid being knocked out of the Magnus Exorcismus.
*Wraith Deads like to [[Curse]] and [[Decrease Agility]] while you're trying to mob, so make sure your priest stays with you to undo the status effects before you get hit locked. The [[NPC CURSEATTACK|cursing skill]] can be also avoided by wearing Bathory-carded armor.

==Thanatos==
''8x-9x''

{{map |id=tha_t07 Thanatos Tower}} is arguably the fastest Base EXP outside of Labs, and almost certainly the fastest job EXP. Additionally, the very unusual style of leveling and challenging nature of the tower makes for a very entertaining large-party situation. There are 12 floors on Thanatos Tower, plus a boss floor for those who are daring (or stupid) enough to summon the MvP. Floors 1-6 are mostly inhabited by weaker monsters, with a couple of [[boss]] monsters thrown in to stir things up. It is common to teleport through the first 6 floors until you get to floor 7, where teleporting is disabled. Starting on floor 7, all the boss monsters from previous floors become the main ingredient: and that's where the fun begins.

The Paladin makes a fantastic tank in Thanatos tower, for a good number of reasons. On top of the high HP, good gear, and tanking skills that make him valuable as a tank anywhere else, the Paladin also:
*Has a 50% immunity to [[Holy]]-element skills, thanks to the [[Faith]] skill
*Is able to stop the Dame of Sentinel from [[Snatch]]ing with the [[Guard]] skill
*Can frequently outrun monsters back to the party in the event he gets Snatched, thanks to the Peco
*Can very easily handle mobs of Baronesses of Retribution with Grand Cross

Leveling on floors 7 or 8 is recommended, depending on the size and strength of the party. On floors 9 and higher, all monsters are set to very long spawn timers, so once the room has been cleared, the monsters do not respawn quickly enough to maintain a good EXP rate.

====Important Gear====
* Shield of Royal Guard ({{item |id=4253 Alice Card}})
**If you do not have a Shield of Royal Guard, a Fire-Proof Shield ({{item |id=4314 Penomena Card}}) is the best alternative, since the Angel race-reduction card ({{item |id=4138 Anubis Card}}) was never implemented.
**''NOTE: There is some indication that the Anubis Card may finally be implemented in update 11.3, when Marduks are replaced with Anubis in Sphinx 4f and 5f.'' <ref>{{wiki |id=Episode_11.3_Nameless_Island Doddler's Future RO Wiki}} - 11.3 update indicates that the Anubis monster will be implemented.</ref>
*Evil Armor ({{item |id=4119 Bathory Card}})

====Pros====
*Fantastic Base and Job EXP
*Entertaining and unusual means of leveling. Great for large parties.

====Cons====
*Until new armor sets are patched in, there aren't many good drops in Thanatos Tower.
*Getting to floors 7+ can be annoying, even if not time consuming. Particularly annoying if the party dies often.
*Transcendent classes only

====Monsters====
*{{monster |id=1699 Ancient Mimic}} and {{monster |id=1698 Death Word}}: Annoying, not the main source of EXP.
*{{monster |id=1702 Baroness of Retribution}}: Very painful, dies quickly to GC.
*{{monster |id=1700 Dame of Sentinel}}: Arguably the most dangerous monster in the tower, because she uses [[Snatch]], and players cannot teleport back once Snatched.
*{{monster |id=1705 Despero of Thanatos}} (Floor 7): High damage output, dies quickly to Storm Gust. Very painful crits.
*{{monster |id=1703 Lady Solace}}: Low melee damage, but packs a nasty Grand Cross, and likes to Silence the tank. Keep away from the party.
*{{monster |id=1701 Mistress of Shelter}}: [[Venom Dust]] can be annoying for players with low VIT, and she has some painful spells for weaker party members.
*{{monster |id=1704 Odium of Thanatos}} (Floor 8): Extremely painful when furied, ranged attack, likes to switch to the Wizard, Sniper, or SD SinX. Keep [[Pneuma]] up on the entire party.

====Leeching====
Nearly impossible.

====Techniques====
*Baroness of Retribution is notorious for switching off the tank after casting [[NPC DARKCROSS|Dark Grand Cross]]. Keep casting your own Grand Cross (even if only a level 1 GC) so that your GC is the first thing to hit it after it finishes casting its DGC. As long as you hit it first, it will stay on you.
*Dame of Sentinel uses [[Snatch]], and since you can't teleport on floors 7+, that is a very big deal. [[Safety Wall]] and [[Guard]] both block Snatch, but you should still make it a point to kill the Dame of Sentinel as quickly as possible. If your priest is in trouble or busy and cannot Safety Wall you, try to pull the Dame out of her own Safety Wall and use it instead.
*Because the maps in Thanatos Tower are somewhat confined, and because of the awkward respawn timers, monsters will frequently spawn on or near the party. You and the other tanks should stand out in the open while your party members hug near walls and in corners, so that instant-spawns will switch to you and not a weaker party member.
*In sticky situations, you need to make sure a priest is alive to cast [[Redemptio]]. If you have [[Sacrifice]], now is a good time to use it.

==Abyss Lake==
''7x-9x''

{{map |id=abyss_03 Abyss Lake Dungeon}} is a very popular dungeon for large-party leveling, and a properly geared Crusader or Paladin can do a perfectly acceptable job as a mobber or tank. The third map is where the EXP is best, and teleporting all the way there is a frequent practice, even in very large parties. The dungeon is very mobby, so weaker parties should take it slow until they understand the dungeon.

====Important Gear====
*Dragoon Shield ({{item |id=4120 Sky Petite Card}})
*Teleport Accessory ({{item |id=4040 Creamy Card}})

====Pros====
*Very good base EXP
*Intimidating as they may be, Dragons are very easy to tank with proper gears
*Very high population, easy to mob

====Cons====
*Bad Job EXP

====Monsters====
*{{monster |id=1713 Acidus}}: The gold ones are the best EXP. Primary target.
*{{monster |id=1719 Detardeurus}}: MvP, dangerous but slow. Sizable party can take it down.
*{{monster |id=1717 Ferus}} and {{monster |id=1699 Ancient Mimic}}: Annoying, not the best source of EXP.
*{{monster |id=1720 Hydrolancer}}: Summons a nasty mob. Kill for good drops.
*{{monster |id=1191 Mimic}}: Very annoying, but good drops.

====Leeching====
Nearly impossible.

====Techniques====
*The green and red Ferus dragons like to push you around with [[Brandish Spear]], and if they push you over another party member, the mob all switches. Try to pull against a wall to prevent this from happening.

==Odin's Temple==
''7x-9x''

Odin's temple is one of few places where a high-level Crusader or Paladin can earn decent EXP without mobbing, and the somewhat fresh nature of the dungeon makes it a relaxing getaway from the mindless drag of Niflheim or Geffen Guild Dungeon. Unfortunately, Odin's Temple is not a good source of Job EXP, so it is better suited for Crusaders trying to get to 99 than for Paladins trying to earn important skills.

All three maps in Odin's Temple are about the same, with varying spawn rates for Crusaders of different skill levels. Lower leveled Crusaders might want to visit Odin's Temple in a large-party situation, but it is also more than possible to level there with just a priest, as long as you avoid the holy-element Skeggiolds and focus on the Frus and Skoguls, which are very weak to Grand Cross.

====Important Gear====
*Hell Shield ({{item |id=4136 Khalitzburg Card}})
*Teleport Accessory ({{item |id=4040 Creamy Card}})

====Pros====
*A very different leveling experience that doesn't revolve around mobbing
*Nice Base EXP

====Cons====
*Can only be accessed from Hugel, which means you'll be taking the airship
*Negligible Job EXP

====Monsters====
*{{monster |id=1753 Frus}} and {{monster |id=1752 Skogul}}: Very weak to Grand Cross, moderate damage output, great base EXP. Primary target.
*{{monster |id=1693 Plasma}}: Annoying. Avoid.
*{{monster |id=1755 Skeggiolds}}: Immune to Grand Cross, and painful. Avoid.
*{{monster |id=1765 Valkyrie}} and {{monster |id=1751 Randgris (MVP)}}: Avoid.

====Leeching====
There are some nooks and crannies where a leecher could hide.

====Courtesies====
*Odin's Temple isn't a very busy place, and there isn't much to mob. Just be friendly if you do see another party here.

====Techniques====
*Make sure your Priest keeps [[Ruwach]] up, and watch out for weird damage or Grimtooth. Skogul likes to cloak.
*Avoid the Skeggiolds: they are immune to Grand Cross and pretty painful.

2. Walk close to the wall surrounding the upper left area, suddenly you overhear a conversation. You can't quite hear what they're talking about, but you hear a familiar sound... it's Ghalstein.

3. Next go talk to Ghalstein again and ask about what you just overheard, and confirm it was his voice. After trying to get it out of him, he finally admits that it was him on and he asks you to give him time to consider telling the truth.

4. He then tells you he belongs to a secret group that's fighting an underground war with someone and asks you to help them. Agree to help him. He proposes a restriction on you by making you swallow a red pill which will undoubtedly make sure you stay truthful to the cause. He assure that he'll give the idote once you complete his mission.

5. Ghalstein wants you to investigate on Rekenber Headquarters because lately strange creatures have been seen under the basement. He asks for you to collect all related biological exhibits, plus the most important thing and he assure you that you'll know that important thing when I see it (Ymir's Heart Piece). He also tells you that lately people are missing in the slum area and it probably has to do with the Rekenber Corporation as well.

5. Those that did the Biolabs Entrance Quest can go to Level 2 and Level 3 of the Biolabs Dungeon through the Underwater Tunnel.

* Collect 10 Handcuffs, 10 Research Charts, and Ymir's Heart Piece (Top right corner of Level 2)

7. After gathering the items needed, talk to Ghalstein. He asks you to meet Gushaar for my next mission somewhere around Juno.

* Obtain Membership Card

8. Looking somewhere around Juno, you found a Dismayed Man, Gushaar (yuno_fild04 165 245). You tell him you've been sent by Ghalstein and he asks you to chose red pill and blue pill. Since Ghalstein previously gave you red pill, choose the red pill. Then he asks if you have something to show him. Say yes, and show him the Membership Card.

9. After that he tells you his country, Schwarzwald is controled by the evil Rekenber Corporation. You learn that they have organized a resistance called Wing Of Secret with the help of the President Karl Weierstrass to free the Schwarzwald Republic from the control of Rekenber. He asks you to meet the President at an appointed time.

'''* Between 8 PM to 11 PM or 11 AM to 2 PM talk to the President's secretary. For iRO, the times listed are in Pacific Time.'''

10. At the President of the Schwarzwald Republic's Office (building in north Juno 157, 319), meet Secretary Hes O'Neil (yuno_pre 69 20) O'Neil tells you the President is waiting.

11. Talk to the Guard (yuno_pre 95 71) outside the President's office you find out he still meeting with another guest.

* You may have to talk to the guard many times to continue

12. Finally, a Fine Gentleman comes out of the room; it's Keshnaar. He's the President's guest the Guard talked about!

13. After Keshnaar leaves, ask the Guard about him and you learn that Keshnaar works for Rekenber and is responsible for consulting with the government. You are let into the office.

14. President Karl (yuno_pre 69 79) is a busy man. So he gives you a few questions to ask him. After he briefs you about it, ask about your mission.

15. Your first mission from the President is to go to the Aldebran Kafra Headquarters and meet someone called Venice. Before you leave he wants you to pass a file to his Secretary Hes O'Neil.

* Obtain File Folder

16. As you walk out of the room, you hear someone talking by the window, before the sound fades away.

17. Give the File to Hes O'Neil.

18. Find the Kafra Employee, Benith (aldeba_in 155 240) and she explains about voting rights for Kafra Service & Cool Event Corp.

19. After she's done, ask "are you Benith..?" and the let her see the Membership Card. She tells you she's a member of Wind of Secret as well. She explains one of the agent is stuck & is hiding at Grim Reaper's Valley and needs to be rescued. His name is Jargeah.

20. After a long search, I spot A Wounded Man, Jargeah (lhz_fild02 228 214). He asks who you are, so type in Kafra Corporation. He gives you a file and asks you to pass it to Benith and leave him here.

* Obtain Sealed File Folder

21. Pass the file to Benith, then she asks about Jargeah. Afterwards, she passes back the file and asks you to hand it over to the President.

22. From the file, the President learns that one of the enterprise researchers caried the secret and is hiding in a secret place. His name is Shinokas, and is in Einbroch. My next mission will be find that person.

* To continue, you must have completed the [[Einbroch Murder Quest]].

23. When you tell the President about Shinokas, the guard interrupts your conversation and says Hes O'Neil has an urgent matter to see him about. O'Neil passes a pack of documents to President.

24. After President examines the documents, (You may have to click many times), he tells you a secret file about Shinokas is hiding in the store room of Rekenber Headquarters. You are ordered to go somewhere around Lighthalzen to wait for the Kafra Service to contact you.

25. North of Lighthalzen, A Mystery Woman, Esuna appears (lhz_fild01 66 219). She gives you a short briefing on how to infiltrate the corporation and steal the information. Esuna informs you to make contact with a secret agent, Lestin inside the headquarters and obtain a pass from him to disarm the security system.

* You should have on the Grandpa Beard and Geek Glasses to gain access to the labs

26. Go back to Lighthalzen, and enter the Rekenber Headquarters. Go past the Guard (lhz_in01 35 226).

27. Go to the upper room in the research lab. He is Researcher, Lestin (lhz_in01 285 169). He tells you the location for the file is heavily guarded and the entry pass from him can last for 3 minutes.

* Obtain Archive Permit

28. To get to the Document Room, return back outside from where you had to wear the Geek Glasses and Grandpa Beard to enter. Walk past the two female guides and there should be a portal north of them. In the new room, continue walking to the right, past another portal, until you see two guards guarding a room (around lhz_in01 177,29). When you arrive at the corner of the Document Room, wait patiently until both guards leave their post. Then start your infiltrating, slide in the card and input the number on the card and enter the door. (3 minutes before you are spotted)

29. Type in Shinokas at the File Search Engine and find the relevant information is kept in area 1-5.

*NOTE: The File Search Engine is Case Sensitive, so type 'shinokas' at the Input Box. This was tested on iRO.

30. Find the document at area 1-5, it's about Heart of Ymir again. It seems like the information you're looking for.

* Obtain Shinokas Case File

31. Return the Archive Permit to Lestin and head back to Esuna.

32. Bring the document to Esuna. She adds some files and reorganizes them, then tell you to hand it over to the President.

33. When President finds out about the death of Shinokas, he says it's not important but the most important thing is what Rekenber is going to do with Ymir's Heart Fragments. He then asks you to run back to Esuna because she might have new information.

34. Meet Esuna again. She's very depressed because of the recent losses in her group and they plan to withdraw from Wind Of Secret. She later gives you the file.

* Obtain Sealed File Folder

35. Tell the President of Esuna & her member's plans of withdrawing after passing him the document. He's puzzled and ask you to find out the reason from Esuna.

36. Esuna tells you that she believes there is a spy in the movement and President's trusted aide, Kurelle is the most suspicious. Later they infiltrated his residence and find the evidence that relates him to Rekenber. Her headquarters orders them to hold any actions that correlated with the President.

37. Rush back to President and tell him everything you heard from Esuna. He's stunned and after all, he's been played by the Corportation and betrayed by his trusted aide. He orders his secretary to invite Kurelle into the room. The President starts to question Kurelle. At first he act as if he doesn't know what the President is talking about, but he confesses and tell him everything about his ambitious and the Corporation.

38. Go back to Lighthalzen and tell everything to Ghalstein. It's a blow for Ghalstein after he hears it. He later gives you the antidode and apologizes for involving you in such a mess.

* Obtain 1 Old Violet Box and 1,500,000 Base EXP

'''* This quest is not required on iRO in order to vote in the Kafra/Cool Event Corp. Elections.'''

4. Go inside and find Zelmeto again. Zelmeto can fix the broken parts if he has 20 Flexible Tube (Metaling), 10 Rusty Screw (Juperos, Teddy Bear or Metaling) and 10 Used Iron Plate (Old Stove or Remover in Biolabs).

1. To complete this quest you will have to have completed the Entrance Quest to Biolabs. Once you have access then you will need to find a pair of Handcuffs (Only need 1).

[[Image:Handcuffs.jpg]]

2. There are a few trigger spots that will start this quest for you. The following locations are areas that will trigger a dialog popup box if you are holding the Handcuffs:

[[Image:Cursetrigger.jpg]]

*(lhz_dun01 147 106)
*(lhz_dun01 239 135)
*(lhz_dun01 66 213)
*(lhz_dun02 94 199)
*(lhz_dun03 244 51)
*(lhz_dun03 123 191)
*(lhz_dun03 74 140)

You just need to clear one of the above areas and get the dialog pop up to continue to the next step.

3. Now, keeping the Handcuffs, continue to [[Lighthalzen]]. You are looking now for the following locations. These do not need to be in order but make sure you get to each spot:

Lighthalzen, the City-State of Prosperity (lighthalzen): 344, 278

Inside Lighthalzen (lhz_in03): 178, 22 (Building located at Lighthalzen, the City-State of Prosperity (lighthalzen): 344, 229)

Lighthalzen, the City-State of Prosperity (lighthalzen): 295, 227

Lighthalzen, the City-State of Prosperity (lighthalzen): 364, 315

You will get another popup dialog at these check points, and you should be weary of what is ahead!

4. Once you have ventured around Lighthalzen and have triggered the spirits, you can swing by and talk to the Elder (Lighthalzen, the City-State of Prosperity (lighthalzen): 346, 263). She has great wisdom regarding the research that has happened in recent years.

5. Talk to her and pay attention to her story. She will then help you with getting rid of them. Be honest to her and let her know that you can't remember every bad thing you have done. Follow along with her as she helps you with how to deal with what you have just learned.

6. She will show you where you need to go next, just pay attention to your mini-map.

[[Image:Curseminmap.jpg]]

7. Now following the Elder's instructions you will need to head to the Rekenber Headquarters. As you enter into this building you will walk forward and trigger another spirit (lhz_in01 113 150). After triggering the spirit you will want to continue forward towards the Representative and ask about the Corporation's History. She will then guide you to the Library.

8. Now head to your left into the Library (lhz_in01 27 247) and talk to the Representative there. Talk to her about the Corporation's History and listen closely to what she says. You will need to talk to her again and discuss Rekenber's Businesses with her to find out more about what has been going on. She will then guide you to look up the Guidebook to find more about Rekenber's businesses.

Clicking on the Guidebook and reading what little information there is will help you understand the mission that was at hand.

9. You will need to venture more in this building to find out some other information. There is another location to check out on the 2nd floor. Head to (lhz_in01 272 227) and you will find another spirit.

* '''Note:''' If this spirit curses the player more than once step 11 will not work correctly and players will need to start over from step 7. Be extra careful when activating this spirit to ensure it is only done once.

10. Realizing that you might be in over your head and yet still curious as to what is going on, you head back towards the Library. As you get closer you see a Rekenber Guard , almost like you walked right past him earlier. Talk to the guard and he will request your ID to be confirmed. You will need a Grandpa's Beard and Geek Glasses, as you can tell from his own ID, before he will let you pass.

[[Image:Guard.jpg]]

Once you have put on the Beard and Glasses you can then talk to the Rekenber Guard and he will let you into the room.

11. Once you enter the room, you will want to head to your right. You will see 3 rooms. Each room has a very specific purpose for the testing and creating that is done here. Head to the room on the far right, and walk towards the middle of the room (lhz_in01 206 129). You will notice something unique about this area, and gain access to another room.

12. Once you have entered, you will stumble upon a conversation between Doctor Varmunt and a representative of the Rekenber Corporation. It would seem that the brilliant Doctor isn't happy with what he was asked to do. You sneak out just in time before they realize you were there listening to the conversation.

13. Now that you know about the fake Ymir's Heart and the developments they are trying to accomplish with the Airship and the Guardians, you should go see and talk to one of the scientists in this area. Talk to the Mad Scientist (lhz_in01 273 121), and offer him your help.

[[Image:Scientistdiag.jpg]]

14. Talk to the Mad Scientist again as it would seem he was too distracted to give you the right attention you requested for. Ask to speak to him again, and he will give you a hint of what he needs. Round and Shiny? Must be a Glass Bead! Bring back a Glass Bead to him again and politely ask him about his work. He will give you some details about what he is working on and how he feels it will change the world.

15. Let's wander around, and head to the room to the north. See if what this Mad Scientist is talking about will really change the world. Moving into the north room, (lhz_in01 282 166) you will circle around a table in the middle of the room and find something on the floor. Oh wait! It's a door to another room. As you enter you notice this room looks just like the one you came from. If you move around the room you will see what looks to be some sort of testing going on.

16. You talk to the Scientist and you see he is having a conversation with...what looks to be a Peco Peco. Upon listening into this conversation the Scientist is having with himself and the Peco Peco you realize that he throws down what he claims to be a cheap trinket. Pick up this Pendant and let's see if we can find its rightful owner. Someone has to know something about this item.

17. You remember that the Elder said to return once you find what you are looking for. Head back to the Elder and see if she can help by showing her the pendant. The pendant looks to have a curse on it, something that she claims to be able to fix. Return to her with 5 Holy Water and a Bouquet as she has requested.

Once you return to her with the 5 Holy Water and the Bouquet she will calm the curse and ask you to return the pendant to its rightful owner.

18. If you head north in the slums district (lighthalzen 319,321) you will come to a house with a Crippled Girl (lhz_in03 31,162) that looks to be in some serious discomfort. Talk to the girl and show her the pendant, and listen to her story of what the pendant means to her. Then tell her as gently as possible, and then offer her some comfort.

19. After you have comforted her, you can head back out of their house and continue your quest to find out what more there is about this spirit. As you exit the house (lighthalzen 319 321) you will be confronted by the spirit again, but this time the spirit is grateful for what you have been able to do to help him and blesses you for what you did.

* Gain some Base and Job EXP (Based on character level).
* Does not matter if the character is trans or non-trans.
* Level 98 - 2,000,000 Base EXP and 1,000,000 Job EXP
* Levels 83 & 88 - 1,500,000 Base EXP and 800,000 Job EXP

20. The search for a true answer hasn't stopped, and you figure that this spirit that continues to follow you has something to do with the Rekenber Corporation and you feel the need to continue there. You head to speak with a Secretary; Secretary Slierre (lhz_in01 286 226). You ask Slierre about the slums, only to find out she doesn't know much about them. So you talk to her again and ask about the Laboratory, and she gives you a vague question and pushes you off to the help desk.

Realizing she isn't going to answer your questions in a round about manner, you come out with it and ask about Wolfchev's Research. Stunned, she inquires about why you asked, and you explain that you are a friend of his. She tries to brush you off, but you reply with W-Wait!, and you ask again about Wolfchev's Research. She explains that she is not able to answer your questions but if you have something to show her then she is more then willing to help you. So you ask about Wolchev's Test Subjects, ignoring her statement of not being able to help.

At this point she attempts to sway the conversation towards the positive aspects of the research and you claim that his experiments are suspicious and you don't trust the corporation. Not claiming to know anything, she asks for proof, so you show her the evidence. You show her the Handcuffs and Slierre becomes bothered by this proof. You ask what Wolfchev is doing now, and you explain that, Yes you are suspicious about his research, and question about Mr. Wolfchev and the creatures in Regenschirm. She takes your claims and asks that you give her time to go over it all and see if there is any truth to this report.

21. Being that you want answers now, you continue to pester her by requesting the results and what was found. After a few minutes of pestering her she comes back and informs you of the dreadful truth that Wolfchev had done unauthorized research and what you had found was the truth. You ask what he was doing, and she tells you what she was able to find out about his deadly research.

* Obtain an Old Blue Box & 10 Speed Potions

22. Now that you have confirmed the unauthorized research, you rush back to the Mad Scientist (lhz_que01 94 2) to put a stop to his research but when you arrive you find that he has vanished and that all he left behind were his well documented research files.

What is said on the "corequisites" isn't true. You need to do the [[Stop Metto's Research]] quest as part of part I of the [[God Items Quest]]. Also, while there isn't an actual page for it, Archers trying to job change to Bard must complete the [[Snowysnow Quest]]. Also, merchants job changing to alchemist must do the [[Alchemist Item Gathering]] quest. --[[User:Resplendent|Resplendent]] 14:32, 18 November 2007 (MST)
:[[Stop Metto's Research]] is a prerequisite for the [[God Items Quest]] in the same sense that [[Piano Keys Quest]] is a prerequisite for the [[Sign Quest]]. While many people may not have done Metto's quest or the Keys Quest (the rewards aren't worth the effort) until they start the God Items or Sign quests, respectively, they must be completed prior to completing the the quest.
:[[Rachel Sanctuary Quest]] and [[Lost Child Quest]], however, have a different kind of relationship. You cannot complete one quest until you have done part of the other for both of them. You cannot complete the Rachel Sanctuary quest until you have done lost child quest, but you can't complete the lost child quest until you've finished part of the Rachel Sanctuary quest either. Thus, I termed them corequisites rather than prerequisites, in order to note that to complete either of them you have to do them at the same time.
:I don't recall doing the [[Alchemist Item Gathering]] quest either (and I do have an alchemist), but it was quite some time ago that my merchant became an alchi, so I may just be forgetful.
:I am not familiar with the [[Snowysnow Quest]] or the bard job change quest (they're among the few quests that I've never done), so I won't revert you, but I'm trying to explain why there is a difference between the relationship between Metto's quest and the god items quest and the relationship between the rachel sanctuary and lost child quests. == About Classes ==
In Ragnarok Online, a character's abilities and skills are defined by their class (also known as job). Characters start out as Novices, then once they reach job level 10 they can choose between a variety of first job classes. Once they then reach at least Job Level 40 they can then change to a second class job, either 2-1 or 2-2. Then after reaching Base Level 99 and Job Level 50 as a second class they can choose to transcend and start the process again, being rewarded with a more powerful, transcendent character. Alternatively, from Novice, players can choose to become the ultimate Novice, the Super Novice, or explore one of the Expanded classes.

'''Requirements: Completed the [[Factory Quest]]'''
'''Quest Reward: Base EXP (based on character level) + Some Job EXP'''

1. Go to Einbech. When you step off the train there is a Young Man (einbech 58 209) who talks about depressed guy in pub. Go talk to Buender Hikeman behind the tavern (einbech 164 102). He will mistake you for a killer. Talk to him again, and ask him how he escaped. He'll rant and pass out.

2. Now head to Einbroch. At the second floor of the Hotel (einbroch 252 200), in the south eastern room there is a sick old man (Shinokas) in bed. Ask him if he always lived in Einbroch and you'll find out he is hiding something. Keep badgering him about the mine collapse and eventually you'll get the option to ask about Hikeman. He will slip up and reveal he really was part of that incident. Talk to him again and he asks you to search the Kappelthaine Manor (einbroch 126 229) for more information about the ore. Talk to the maid there and she denies any ore.

* Note: To talk to NPCs in the Kappelthaine Manor, immediately move into the south room upon enterance. The father will kick you out of the house if you go near him, so you have to talk to the three NPCs in the room (two are for another quest) through the walls.

3. Return to Shinokas and he'll ask you to search the factory next. Talk to Zelmeto (ein_in 67, 247) (and finish the Einbroch Factory Maintenance quest up to the part where one must hand him spare parts if you haven't already) in the factory and return to Shinokas. He gives you the option of where you think it may be hidden.

4. If you pick Laboratory (Southwest Einbroch - einbroch 53, 51), you have to 'sneak in'. The door at the laboratory will now request a password...you have to type in the nonesense that it tells you. OR you can just copy/paste the correct combination in. Some of the choice pairings you get are:

<blockquote>
<ul><li>You give me no choice. I guess it's time for me to reveal my secret...

5. Talk to the scientist inside, and he will tell you the head of the lab is on the airship flirting with some lady. While here, check the strange stuff in the middle of the room.

6. Take the airship and go downstairs. The scientist (Drunken Old Man) is throwing dice and losing badly. Talk to the Apple Merchant, buy 100 apples, then talk to the scientist. He'll use them to gamble another round and lose even more. The key here is his swearing his luck on Ymir's Heart. Keep giving him apples and eventually he will win, and tell you about Ymir's Heart.

7. Return to Shinokas, tell him about Ymir's Heart in the dialog that appears, and he'll die telling you of his regret.

8. Go back to Einbech and inform Hikeman of Shinokas's death for some EXP.

* Experience amounts received:
== Description ==
Protects a Party Member by taking all of the damage inflicted on said Party Member. The Party Member must be within 10 levels of the caster. The damage that the caster receives from Sacrifice is affected by the Party Member`s [[DEF|Defense]], rather than the caster's. However, if the caster activates [[Guard]], [[Shield Reflect]], or [[Defending Aura]], these skills will also affect Party Members targeted by Sacrifice and will generally function as if the Sacrificed party members had them as well.

== Information ==
*If a player goes beyond the range of Sacrifice, their line of Sacrifice will graphically disappear. Sacrifice does not deactivate until a player takes damage when out of range of the skill, or the duration of the skill expires.
*Cannot be cast on other [[Crusader]]s.
*When a player is Sacrificed, none of their skills can be interrupted by physical or magical attacks as they are not actually receiving any damage.
*If the Crusader receives damage that exceeds their remaining HP through Sacrifice, they will die, and any damage exceeding the Crusader's hit points does not pass to the original target receiving the damage.
*Certain abilities function through Sacrifice: Guard, Shield Reflect, and Defending Aura. Guard works as if the sacrificed target had the skill active, also inducing physical attack delay when activated. Shield Reflect only works on melee skills when applied through Sacrifice. This includes Guillotine Fist, as well as Arrow Shower cast by a monster. Defending Aura currently will slow all sacrificed targets when activated, but only apply a reduced damage reduction compared to the 80% reduction on the caster.
*Sacrifice will prevent the [[Soul Linker]] skill Kaite from functioning since damage is redirected toward the Sacrificing character.
*Refreshing Sacrifice (recasting it on a sacrificed target before its duration ends) requires that the number of players currently being sacrificed is at least 1 less than your limit.

== Description ==

Creates a bottle containing Deadly Poison. If the skill fails, the caster will receive an amount of damage equal to 20% of maximum [[HP]].

{{item |id=678 Poison Bottles}} can only be created through the skill Create Deadly Poison. Some ingredients are needed to create one. [[DEX]] and [[LUK]] affect the success rates of brewing {{item |id=678 Poison Bottles}}.

=== Ingredients ===
* {{item |id=657 Berserk Potion}}: The Tool Dealers in [[Comodo]] and [[Lighthalzen]] sell these.
* {{item |id=937 Venom Canine}}: Dropped by {{monster|id=1025 Boas}}, {{monster|id=1030 Anacondaqs}} and {{monster|id=1037 Side Winders}}. They spawn in large quantities at {{map|id=moc_fild13 Sograt Desert 13}}.
* {{item |id=952 Cactus Needle}}: Dropped by {{monster|id=1055 Mukas}}. The best places to hunt them are {{map|id=moc_fild18 Sograt Desert 18}} and {{map|id=moc_fild06 Sograt Desert 06}}.
* {{item |id=939 Bee Sting}}: Dropped by {{monster|id=1004 Hornets}}. The best places to hunt them are {{map|id=prt_fild00 Prontera Field 00}} and {{map|id=mjolnir_04 Mt. Mjolnir 04}}.
* {{item |id=7033 Poison Spore}}: Dropped by {{monster|id=1077 Poison Spores}}. The best places to hunt them are {{map|id=pay_fild05 Payon Forest 05}} and {{map|id=mjolnir_07 Mt. Mjolnir 07}}.
* {{item |id=713 Empty Bottle}}: Dropped by different monsters. It is best to gather them from {{monster|id=1055 Mukas}} so as to harvest two ingredients at once. {{monster|id=1372 Goats}} drop them at the highest rate and are found on {{map|id=ein_fild06 Einbroch Field 06}} and {{map|id=yuno_fild06 Juno Field 06}}. {{monster|id=1097 Ant Eggs}} in {{map|id=anthell01 Ant Hell 1}} and {{monster|id=1682 Removers}} in {{map|id=lhz_dun01 Somatology Laboratory 1}} are also viable options.
* {{item |id=972 Karvonidailrol}}: Only dropped by four monsters and at very low rates. {{monster|id=1077 Poison Spores}} are the easiest to hunt. {{monster|id=1682 Removers}} are another option. A third option is the [[Biochemist]] skill [[Cultivate Plant]], which at level 1 summons a {{monster|id=1085 Red Mushroom}} or a {{monster|id=1084 Black Mushroom}} by chance using one {{item|id=921 Mushroom Spore}}. {{monster|id=1085 Red Mushrooms}} drop these at 0.5%.

=== Formula ===

Success Rate = Base Rate + [ (Base Rate * DEX/50) + (Base Rate * LUK/100) ]

''*Base Rate is assumed to be at 20%.''

Simplified: Success Rate = 20% + (0.4% DEX) + (0.2% LUK)

=== Ways To Increase Success Chance ===

Decent base [[DEX]] and [[LUK]].
[[Blessing]]. (+10 [[DEX]])
[[Gloria]]. (+30 LUK)
[[Marionette Control]]. (skill of [[Minstrel]]/[[Gypsy]])
[[Battle Chant]]. (+20 stats)
Guild Skill [[Sharp Gaze]] (+5 [[DEX]] at level 5, not really recommended)
Equipments: Apple of Archer (+3 [[DEX]]), Lucky Mantle (+2 [[LUK]]), Quad Dexterous Knife x2 (+8 [[DEX]]), Crystal Pumps (+5 [[LUK]]), Nimble Gloves x2 (+8 [[DEX]])

=== Tips ===

* Wear the equipments above and get [[Blessing]] only after [[Marionette Control]] has been casted on the player to get the full [[DEX]] bonus.
* Have a [[Priest]] standby to [[Heal]] the player when Create Deadly Poison fails.
* Make use the [[Bard]] skill [[Magic Strings]] to reduce Create Deadly Poison's cast delay thus speeding up brewing.
* Only brew when either a [[Priest]] or a [[Minstrel]]/[[Gypsy]] can assist so {{item |id=972 Karvonidailrols}} won't be wasted.

=== Uses ===

* A requirement for [[Enchant Deadly Poison]] to activate.
* When {{item |id=678 Poison Bottles}} are used by a non-[[Assassin]] class character, it causes instant death.
* If an [[Assassin Cross]] drinks a Poison Bottle, they will be given a boost in [[ASPD]] for 30 seconds. This is not the same as using Poison Bottles by activating [[Enchant Deadly Poison]].

My tests of this skill, using a 61/33 soul linker (standing idly in juno doing nothing else), indicate that each level has a duration of 5 min, which agrees with the in game skill description. So I'm rather certain that is is a 5 min duration. '''Item Requirements: 20 Firecrackers, 40 Glacial Hearts (Monster drop)'''

'''Quest Requirements: Completed [[Lost Child Quest]]'''

'''Quest Reward: 1,100,000 Base Experience, 600,000 Job Experience, Access to Rachel Sanctuary Dungeon'''

'''Precondition:''' Initially, you can go to the temple and talk to Nema, as well as enter the Sanctuary to talk to Panno for the exchange of vouchers, or High Priest Zhed for the Lost Child Quest. Nema will ask for donations to the sanctuary of 50k. Each time you donate, you're given a voucher which you can redeem for a random item (by seeing Panno inside the Sanctuary).

'''Once 10,000 donations have been made, the sanctuary will be locked, and the quest can be started!''' This is per server, not per person. This means that 500,000,000 zeny must be donated to the sanctuary for the server before the quest can be done, and the dungeon accessed.

1. If you haven't yet, talk to Nemma. She'll complain about the locking mechanism on the Rachel gates.

2. Talk to the Kid down by the lake back in the main city (rachel 243, 37). Tell him you like candy. Talk to him until he mentions the fighting priests.

3. Go back up to the temple. Walk up to a window on the left side of Nema (ra_temple 67, 209). You'll be able to sneak in.

4. You now need to investigate the locked down temple until you are able to push through the front gate.

For the sake of these directions:

* NORTH = Up and left, deeper towards the back of the temple.
* EAST = Up and right
* WEST = Down and left
* SOUTH = Down and right, towards the front of the temple.

Follow these directions:

* Once you're inside the locked down temple, head north down the hallway. You will get a popup along the way about some strange noises.
* When you reach the end of the hallway, head east. You should get another popup about the noises.
* When you reach a room with a woman's statue in it, continue through the southern exit of that room (through a gate).
* Continue heading south until you hit a wall, then head east.
* As you walk east along the front of the building along the benches, you should get a popup that says "CRASH" in red text.
* Immeditely after you hear the "CRASH" turn left (north) into a small hallway with a staircase in it. Go up those stairs.
* Once upstairs, head north and then east until you find a room with tiled checker flooring. Head towards the back of that room. Go through the portal behind the statue in that room.
* Walk towards the gate, and a popup will tell you about the dark stains on the floor. Continue walking around over the bloodstains, investigating each time, until it tells you that you should leave before you become the next victim.
* Head back to the staircase (southeast from the bloody room), and go back down the stairs.
* Head just a bit to the west until you're back in the Atrium Hallway (stop when you see a statue against the back wall.)
* Head south, towards the front of the building. After you get a popup, head further south until you reach the gate portal. When it gives you an option, try to "Push" it open.
* You will find yourself back out front of the temple, and you will now be able to re-enter the temple through the front gate. The lights will be back on, and the NPCs will be back. But don't go back inside yet.

5. Talk to Nemma now. You'll need to explore the sanctuary.

6. Now you can go inside the real sanctuary (again, if you went in before).

7. Talk to Panno and she'll tell you about the security.

8. Go back to Nemma outside the temple and give her the 20 [[Firecracker]]s

* Gain 200,000 Base Experience.

9. Talk to High Priest Zhed (ra_temin 277, 159). He'll tell you to take 40 Glacial Hearts to the Pope.

*'''NOTE:''' If Zhed simply says "May Freya be with you," then you have not completed the [[Lost Child Quest]].

10. Visit the pope (ra_temin 134, 134). then go back to Zhed.

11. After he boots you from the room, go up to the left wall and eavesdrop on the conversation. A woman will then talk to you about Zhed and her relationship with him.

12. Go back and talk to Zhed. He'll want to rest. After you finish, walk out of the room and pick up the key on the ground (chat prompt). You'll then be able to enter the Sanctuary.

13. Enter the Sanctuary by going back upstairs to the "bloody room" behind the Chapel (ra_temin 29, 312).

14. Go to the "second level" (really a "quest" level) of the dungeon, and walk forward until you get the prompt to look at the water. Walk around up onto the metal edge (que_san04 119, 203), and the woman will hit you and you'll be sent back to Rachel.

15. Go talk to Zhed and you'll receive experience.

* Gain 900,000 Base Experience
* Gain 600,000 Job Experience
